Our client is a very successful manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Maintenance Engineer. The successful applicant will undertake mechanical and electrical maintenance activities at our client's busy manufacturing plant near Heanor.

The Role:

Reporting to the engineering supervisor you will be responsible for the planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities at a busy factory and machine shop. Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Mechanical fault find and repair of CNC machines, overhead cranes, welding equipment and more
  • Gearboxes, bearings, shafts, etc.
  • Hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps, valves, etc.
  • 3-phase electrical fault find and repair
  • Welding fabrication and toolroom work
  • Some facilities maintenance
  • PPM's

Candidates:

The successful candidate will have previous mechanical and electrical maintenance experience ideally in a manufacturing environment. Applicants with previous experience in machine tool fitting / CNC machine maintenance experience will be advantageous. We are seeking applicants who have a minimum NVQ 3 mechanical engineering qualification; however, applicants who are time-served engineers will be considered.

Hours of work:

Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm (12.30pm finish Friday). Overtime available.

Competitive basic salary £39K + OT (OTE £45K - £49K), 33 days annual leave, sick pay, pension.
