Are you an experienced and dynamic individual seeking a challenging role in the field of crane and lifting equipment services? Are you apprentice trained in Electrical, Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering? Are you able to travel throughout Scotland?
Responsibilities:
- Execute the commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of client cranes and lifting equipment, both onshore and occasionally abroad.
- Perform repairs and inspections on various electrical equipment and systems.
- Conduct fault finding and repairs of hydraulic and mechanical equipment and systems.
- Undertake the commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of a range of client mechanical equipment.
- Visit customers regionally, discuss their needs, and offer services. Survey works to assist in quoting for projects.
- Manage on-site activities for larger projects, ensuring successful completion.
- Adhere to site HSEQ requirements, work safely with all site staff to maintain a secure working environment, and minimise environmental risks.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven experience in port/marine/offshore environments.
- Proficiency in working with Liebherr, Gottwald, Kenz, and NOV equipment is an advantage.
- Commissioning and fault-finding expertise in electro-mechanical and/or hydro-mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- In-depth knowledge of preventative maintenance on mechanical/electric/hydraulic systems.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in harbour/offshore crane services.
- IT literate with strong report-writing skills.
- UK/Ireland driving licence.
- Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings.
- Leadership/supervisory experience in a similar role.
- Good communication skills with customers.
Salary & Benefits:
- Competitive salary: £45,000-£50,000 Basic Salary plus OT
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00 (45 hours per week) with a paid lunch break of 30 minutes per day.
- Day rate for on-site works.
- Meal allowance as per HMRC guidelines (not applicable where meals are provided).
