My client is looking for a part time/freelancing bookkeeper to work alongside them. You will support the director in carrying out various accounts related works and help them maintain updated bookkeeping.
Requirements:
- 3 years of bookkeeping experience
- Experienced user of Xero system, excellent Excel skills would be a plus
- Familiarity with accounting concepts and risks
- Good MS Excel and Xero is a must
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise and communicate effectively at all levels across the business, and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping using Xero accounts - bank reconciliation and checking for accuracy.
- Check and review suppliers' invoices and statements.
- Check and manage expenses claims and reimbursements.
- Communicate and liaise with other departments and external accountants.
- Supporting director prepares p&l and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare monthly payroll & NIC (maybe by using Xero).
- Monthly FPS & EPS
- Assist, review and submit VAT return.
- Review and manage four companies' accounts (generated through Xero with 90% of the transactions in one company) for statutory and management information purposes, in particular: Submit EIR Report FX trading currency transactions.
- Support any other relevant work with director.

Pay: From £17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
