A large legal firm has a new requirement for a Security Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer. The DLP Engineer will be required to take on the responsibility of handling data loss prevention, monitor the use of current tooling and ensure a continuous improvement program is in place and being implemented.

The Responsibilities:

  • Protect both the company and client's sensitive data from data loss or exposure
  • Develop, implement, and administer company DLP policies
  • Perform analysis and triage of DLP Policy violations
  • Provide executive-level reporting on DLP incidents
  • Partner with technical peers to develop Firmwide strategy for data loss prevention

The Required Skills and Experience:

  • Computer Science bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Certifications such as: Microsoft SC-400, AZ-500, MS-900, or CISSP
  • Proficiency in implementing and managing DLP solutions, including Microsoft Purview, M365, and Proofpoint technologies
  • An understanding of security DLP best practices and frameworks, including GDPR, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations
  • Ability to develop, configure, and write DLP policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Familiar with End-User Behaviour Analytics (EUBA) and Insider Risk Management processes and tools
  • Experience in analysing and responding to DLP alerts and incidents, collaborating with the Incident Response team for incident remediation
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve issues related to DLP endpoint and cloud technologies and ensure the smooth operation of DLP systems
