We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating costs for intricate build, joinery, or furniture products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and present estimates to management and clients.
- Review and update estimates as necessary based on project changes or new information.
- Maintain a database of historical costs and use this data to improve the accuracy of future estimates.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects.
- Monitor project progress and compare actual costs to estimated costs, identifying any discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
