The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
A company at the forefront of innovative design of Building and Energy Management Systems, embracing new technology that enables this innovation, is in need of an ICT Passive Designer to join their team. This will involve coordinating with third parties sitting on the network to define network cabling requirements and then creating the passive design drawings and schedules. Once the design is approved by the client, the successful candidate will work with the Project Manager and site installation team to ensure the design is implemented and installed correctly. This flexible role will primarily be based in the Surrey office; however, it may require occasional travel to our project offices based in and around London.
Technical Experience Required:
- Proven track record in delivering passive network designs for Enterprise grade networks.
- Experience of coordinating design with the wider construction teams such as main contractors, sub-contractors, design team and client.
- Experience producing engineering documentation such as ICT layout drawings, rack elevations and patching schedules.
- A professional Network Qualification such as CNIDP or another leading network design qualification.
- Ability to engineer solutions to required budget and highlight possible commercial and technical risks.
- Ability to clearly detail and explain design concepts in front of the design and client teams and justify design decisions.
- Has relevant technical accreditations and qualifications.
- Sound working knowledge of passive manufacturers such as Excel, CommScope etc.
Additional Advantageous Experience Required:
- Understanding of construction site installation coordination for items such as secondary containment.
- Experience with third party companies that sit on building ICT networks such as security and access control.
- Working knowledge of common network construction frameworks such as WiredScore.
