Head of Post Production
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Post-Production to lead our client’s post-production department. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the post-production process, ensuring that all content meets their creative and technical standards while being delivered on time. Our client is looking for someone with a strong background in editing and post production; this role would be ideal for an editor who has moved up to post production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of editors, sound engineers, and motion graphic designers.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and processes for the post-production department.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Foster a collaborative and creative working environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical or creative issues during post-production.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology, innovations, and software.
- Implement and maintain industry-standard post-production tools and systems.
- Oversee the management, storage, and archiving of all post-production assets.
- Support the team by contributing to editing and motion graphics on suitable projects.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in post-production, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Expert knowledge of Avid Media Composer, Adobe Creative Suite, and DaVinci Resolve (Pro Tools and Cinema 4D knowledge is a bonus).
- Strong background in editing.
- Strong understanding of video editing, colour correction, sound design, and VFX workflows.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Willingness to work long hours when needed, often under pressure.
Location: Hertfordshire borders, just outside NW London (3 days in office, 1-2 days remote)
Position: Full-Time (9am – 6pm Mon to Fri)
Salary Range: (subject to experience) 65-85k
