We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Bulk Collection Driver / Estate Cleaner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and disposal of bulk waste materials from residential and commercial estates. You will also assist with maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of estates, ensuring that the environment remains safe and pleasant for residents, workers, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:- Bulk Waste Collection: Safely drive and operate a collection vehicle to collect bulk waste, including large furniture, appliances, and other household items, from residential and commercial properties. Ensure proper loading, transportation, and unloading of bulk waste materials. Ensure all collections are completed in a timely and professional manner while adhering to company protocols and local waste disposal regulations.
- Estate Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning of estates, including sweeping, litter picking, and maintaining clean and tidy common areas such as walkways, car parks, and grounds. Empty bins, clean public areas, and remove waste in a systematic and efficient manner to maintain the cleanliness and aesthetics of the estate. Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents and clients, addressing any questions or concerns about bulk collections or estate cleanliness. Respond professionally and courteously to all inquiries or issues related to waste collection or cleaning.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks before and after shifts (e.g., fuel levels, tire pressure, cleanliness, etc.). Report any vehicle issues or damages immediately to the supervisor to ensure proper repairs are made.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all relevant health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure all collections and cleaning are done in compliance with local regulations and company policies. Report any hazardous materials or unsafe conditions to the appropriate authorities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (a commercial driver's license [CDL] may be required, depending on the vehicle).
- Previous experience in waste collection, driving, or estate cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of safety practices and waste disposal regulations.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
