International services company based in Halifax is looking to recruit a talented qualified accountant seeking a move from practice or industry to work under and be mentored by an experienced Financial Director and offer future succession planning for the Financial Director post.
This is a key role in driving profitability and adding commercial value through financial planning and analysis. Working directly with the Finance Director, the role offers a mix of both the financial, team management and commercial responsibilities including:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts with analysis of performance versus budget.
- Prepare statutory year-end accounts and liaise with auditors.
- Business partner with stakeholders gaining an understanding of business trends.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Registers.
- Work with the FD on budgeting and forecasting.
- Support the Financial Director and Managing Director to develop and improve profitability.
- Ensure adequate financial controls are in place.
The ideal candidate will be; ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified. Previous experience within audit/financial accounting within the profession or management accountant/financial accounting experience within industry. Keen to develop and secure the career progression.
