Security Engineer required to join a well-known and reputable security business in Epping. Due to year-on-year growth, they are seeking a gate and barrier engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will come from a security background and will be based within 1.5 hours from the Essex location. You will work within the South region, only needing to go into the workshop a few times per month. Starting Salary is £45,000 per annum.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and Maintenance of a wide range of automated security products (sliding gates, hinged gate barriers, blockers, bollards, and control panels etc.)
- Installation of new or replacement products, where required.
- Carry out fault diagnosis, to identify and replace components which are faulty.
- Testing of systems, to ensure they set and operate correctly.
- Complete a nine-point force test and report any failure immediately to the office.
- Accurately complete site related reports for Repairs and Maintenance, to assist with quoting additional works, where required.
- Display a proactive, can-do attitude within the organisation, with a culture of right first time and ownership of problems.
- Assist with help growing the business by proactively visiting clients and sites, to offer our services.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- A background in the security sectors, such as gates, barriers, blockers or similar.
- Experience within a remote and site-based role.
- Strong technical background with the ability to fault find, diagnose and carry out repairs.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Full clean license with less than 6 points.
- Flexible approach to work - willing to travel within your designated area and rarely, further afield to support the business requirements.
