A leading optoelectronics products manufacturing client is seeking a Senior Optical Engineer.
Role:
- Design and development of optoelectronic devices and systems: design, execution and analysis of development work
- Define and lead the direction of work packages
- Documentation of design and control of design records
- Liaising with customers and supply chain
- Production of engineering paperwork to build up design records within the company's quality system
- Responsible to ensure documentation is correct and kept up to date
- Ensure Health and Safety standards and procedures are followed at all times
- Ensure adherence to Company Policies and Procedures
Experience and skills required:
- Degree in technical subject (Masters or PhD preferred)
- 3-5 years in relevant development role
- Experience working with optomechanical components/systems
- Experience managing and solving complex R&D problems
- Enthusiastic problem solver using evidence-based approaches to find suitable technical solutions
- Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously as the job requires
