Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Unified Communications & Collaboration:
- Manage and optimize Cisco Collaboration Rooms, AV systems, and UC platforms (Cisco Webex, IP Phones, conferencing).
- Configure, troubleshoot, and support AV equipment (displays, microphones, speakers, control systems).
- Proactively monitor system health to resolve issues before impacting users.
- Provide end-user support, training, and technical assistance for Cisco UC and AV technologies.
- Support Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, and Direct Routing solutions.
- Manage Cisco Unified Communications platforms (CUCM, CUBE, UCCX) and SIP/H.323 protocols.
- Administer Session Border Controllers (Cisco, Ribbon, AudioCodes) and VoIP implementations.
- Troubleshoot and optimize network technologies (switches, routers, firewalls, QoS).
- Work closely with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to meet technical needs.
- Lead initiatives to improve Cisco Collaboration Room and AV system performance.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and national security vetting requirements.
- Drive enhancements in UC/AV system performance, workflow efficiency, and user experience.
- Stay updated on emerging Cisco UC and Microsoft Teams technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco Collaboration technologies (Webex, IP Phones, conferencing).
- Strong AV expertise in configuring and troubleshooting collaboration hardware.
- Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business proficiency, including Direct Routing.
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communications (CUCM, CUBE, UCCX), SIP/H.323 protocols, and Session Border Controllers.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies (switches, routers, firewalls, QoS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously in secure environments.
- Cisco Certified Collaboration Specialist.
- Microsoft Teams Voice Certification (e.g., MS-700 or equivalent).
- AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist).
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Lift/carry equipment up to 25kg; work on ladders or raised platforms as needed.
- Onsite role in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 GMT.
- Occasional evening/weekend work with TOIL (Time Off in Lieu).
- Must hold or be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC) — UK nationals with a UK passport only.
