We are currently working with a reputable furniture company, who are looking for a Van Driver / Handyman to join their operation on a Temp to Perm contract. We are recruiting for a self-motivated candidate who takes pride in their work and is happy to take on a range of responsibilities and duties.
You will be tasked with the safe and efficient delivery of high-quality furniture and accessories for both London and Bath stores. In addition to delivering products to the store, we are looking for the successful candidate to support the store with unloading, placing within the store and completing jobs within the store (such as furniture building / putting up frames etc). There will be some heavy lifting included; however, you will be working in a team of two. You will be delivering to mainly one store per day, with the same schedule each week.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a full UK driving licence
- Have excellent geographical knowledge
- Be comfortable driving to central London
- Have no more than 6 points on the licence
- Have had some manual handling / handyman / DIY experience
Shifts: Tuesday to Friday – between starts (35-40 hours per week). Mondays available on occasions.
Pay: £13.00 per hour (Once on a permanent contract you will be on a salary of £26,000 - £27,500).
