We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Site Agent to join our CP7 CAM Civils Reactive Framework team to work in the South Wales Region. The primary purpose of the Site Agent is to oversee and manage multiple minor civil engineering and maintenance projects within the framework ranging from structures, earthworks, drainage & tunnels. The Site Agent will be expected to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. This role requires effective coordination of all on-site activities, including workforce management, subcontractor supervision, and client liaison. The ideal candidate would preferably have previous maintenance and reactive framework experience, working in a fast-paced environment where multiple small projects are undertaken simultaneously.
Job Requirements:
- Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and milestones.
- Oversee the execution of construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Lead and manage on-site teams, including engineers, supervisors, and labourers.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Conduct regular site meetings to review progress, address issues, and update project stakeholders.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure project specifications and standards are met.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high-quality workmanship.
- Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
- Monitor project expenditures and manage project budgets effectively.
- Prepare and submit regular financial reports and forecasts.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project status, progress, and any emerging risks.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, local authorities, and community stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
- Willing to contribute to the reactive rota servicing the framework.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in managing civil engineering projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- SMSTS Accreditation.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Valid PTS / COSS desirable.
