We are recruiting for an experienced Pig Stockperson for a family-run farming business in South East England. Our client seeks an Indoor Finishing Pig Lead Stockperson for their pig enterprise. The unit has recently been renovated and is now a modern, efficient straw-based unit. The piglets are weaned at four weeks old and moved into new indoor straw-based accommodation with a scrape-through system for weaners and finishers. Our client is now looking for someone to oversee this section of production. All areas of production (water, feed, temperature, etc.) are monitored, and ventilation and site monitoring are controlled via an app.
They are ideally looking for someone with:
- Relevant pig experience
- Ability to take on responsibility
- Organisational skills
- A methodical approach with a high attention to detail
- Ability to manage the day-to-day welfare of the pigs
- Good level of record-keeping
Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 DOE
