A 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant is needed for a lovely Primary School in the South Shields area for their Nursery. This full-time role is to start as soon as possible and will be ongoing for 6 weeks. This is to support a child in the Nursery with SEN/SEMH needs. This lovely school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers.

The ideal 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant candidate would:

  • Have a passion for supporting the teaching of children with SEND needs including Autism and some SEMH needs
  • Have excellent subject knowledge
  • Be able to organise themselves
  • Be able to engage with children in a proactive way

In addition, you must:

  • Provide two referees we can contact
  • Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one

Please note that the rate of pay will be dependent on level of experience and qualifications achieved.
