As a VP in the Gas & LNG Consulting team, you will be a senior member supporting the Head of Gas & LNG Consulting in growing the practice. The role requires a combination of leadership, management, project direction on consulting mandates, business winning capabilities and wider development of the global Gas and LNG consulting team. You will be responsible for managing and developing a high-performing team, driving client growth, and delivering top-tier consulting engagements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Pro-actively maintain a high-level of client interaction across the region, with specific focus on key clients, to source and develop strong relationships and a solid, repeatable, profitable consulting business. Drive proposal efforts for consulting engagements and multi-client studies. Help formulate innovative approaches to client questions that maximize value and enable the development of new capabilities.
- Project Delivery: Manage client relationships and expectations during engagements and ensure commitments to the client are met. Lead client projects, working with clients and the team to ensure high quality, insightful results that support our clients’ strategic decisions. Ensure consulting projects are delivered in line with anticipated budgets and timelines to generate expected economic outcomes.
- People Development and Thought Leadership: Build and maintain an internal network (across consulting, research, and sales) to deliver the best possible outcomes for the clients. Actively coach teammates, advancing the development of consulting skills and processes across the consulting practice. Generate innovative ideas and approaches to industry issues that further enhance the value the company can create for our clients.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as business, economics, finance, statistics, or engineering; top tier master's degree and/or MBA preferred.
- 13+ years of relevant experience in a management consulting or energy-focused consulting role, or other strategic/commercial (i.e. market analysis, business development, strategy & planning, LNG trading back-end) industry roles related to gas and LNG.
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients or senior decision makers.
- Strong presentation skills, including presenting strategic insight to senior management and potential for public speaking engagements at industry conferences.
- Superior people management and leadership skills to hone and utilise diverse talents within our team.
