President of the International Association of Dive Professionals (IADP)
Position Title: Interim President
Location: Remote (with potential travel for key events and meetings)
Term: 2 years (renewable based on performance and board approval)
Position Overview:
The President of the International Association of Dive Professionals (IADP) will serve as the chief executive officer of the association, providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to advance the mission and goals of IADP. The President will work collaboratively with the board of directors, members, and external partners to promote the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and environmental stewardship in the diving industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Governance:
– Lead the board of directors in setting the strategic direction and priorities for IADP.
– Ensure effective governance and compliance with the association’s bylaws and policies.
– Foster a positive and inclusive culture within the organization.
Strategic Planning and Implementation:
– Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the association’s objectives.
– Oversee the execution of programs, initiatives, and projects that support the association’s mission.
Advocacy and Representation:
– Serve as the primary spokesperson for IADP, representing the organization at industry events, conferences, and with media outlets.
– Advocate for the interests of diving professionals and promote standards of excellence within the industry.
Member Engagement and Development:
– Engage with members to understand their needs and concerns, and ensure that IADP provides value through its programs and services.
– Promote membership growth and retention through innovative strategies and outreach efforts.
Financial Oversight:
– Work with the board to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization.
– Oversee fundraising efforts, including securing sponsorships and partnerships.
Collaboration and Networking:
– Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, regulatory bodies, and environmental organizations.
– Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among members and the wider diving community.
Qualifications:
Professional Experience:
– Minimum of 10 years of experience in the diving industry, with a strong background in leadership and management.
