Shifts: Rotating Double Days (06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00) & occasional night shifts (22:00–06:00)
MDE is on the hunt for a skilled Toolmaker who thrives under pressure, enjoys problem-solving, and can work both independently and as part of a team. Our client operates under a busy, well-equipped toolroom, supporting plastic injection mould tooling in high-volume automotive production.
Your Role:
- Service & maintain injection mould tools (TPM schedules)
- Repair & modify tools as needed to support production
- Troubleshoot & solve issues at the moulding press
- Work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision
What You Need:
- Time-served Toolmaker apprenticeship + ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years of hands-on injection mould tooling experience (automotive preferred)
- Strong bench hand skills & ability to operate milling, turning, and grinding machines
- Problem-solving mindset & good communication skills
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and water systems on injection mould tools
Bonus Skills (Training Provided):
- Hot runner system knowledge
- Mould tool polishing & welding (Laser/MIG/TIG)
- Overhead gantry crane certification
