Salary: £55-60k per annum
Our client is seeking a Project Manager (Mechanical) to join their Major Projects / BTR division on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead high-value mechanical building services projects in the £1m-£10m range, with a focus on high-rise residential developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Oversee mechanical and plumbing services, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with customers, designers, contractors, and project teams.
- Technical Oversight: Review designs, specifications, and compliance to maintain high standards.
- Site Coordination: Conduct regular site visits to inspect installations and ensure best practices.
- Commercial & Risk Management: Manage budgets, cash flow, and sub-contractors while mitigating risks.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all contractual obligations, safety regulations, and industry standards are met.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and plumbing building services.
- Proven project management experience in construction, ideally with high-rise residential projects.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in construction, with 5 years in contract management.
- IT proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead teams, drive project success, and deliver excellence.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of electrical building services.
- Experience working with main contractors.
- Familiarity with Procore construction management software.
