Our client is seeking a passionate and driven Business Development Manager to join their Commercial Team. This role is critical to ensure the company remains a leading service provider in the North of England. As the Business Development Manager, you will represent the organization across key stakeholders, including Local Authorities and the NHS. You will develop a deep understanding of local Integrated Care Systems (ICS) and maintain strong relationships at all levels, including Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and Integrated Care Partnerships (ICPs). The Business Development Manager will stay ahead of developments within local health and social care systems, ensuring the company is well-positioned to adapt and thrive. With your knowledge and expertise, you'll strengthen their presence and influence across the region.
Key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager include:
- Understanding the health and social care market through research and engagement with Local Authorities and the NHS.
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to expand the customer base.
- Generating sales leads and identifying new business opportunities.
- Building relationships with commissioners.
- Delivering sales proposals and attending sales meetings.
- Collaborating with internal teams to achieve business objectives.
Do you have?
- A minimum of 5 years in business development or account management, preferably within the healthcare sector, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding client accounts.
- Demonstrated experience in tender writing and bid management processes.
- Familiarity with the UK healthcare system, particularly in the North of England, and an understanding of healthcare commissioning processes and structures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office, strategic thinking, and experience in presentation and public speaking.
- Full UK driving license and access to your own car for work.
