Role:
- We are looking for a dedicated Outreach Teacher to provide tailored educational support to students unable to attend mainstream education due to reasons such as Behavioural, Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, or those at risk of exclusion.
- This role offers significant job satisfaction, involving one-to-one and group sessions covering subjects like basic Mathematics, English, Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education, interventions, and mentoring.
- Sessions are conducted in various settings, including pupils' homes, local libraries, and schools.
- Candidates should possess a strong understanding of literacy and numeracy, alongside experience working with children.
- Students range from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Year 11, with support extending up to GCSE/Functional Skills levels.
- Immediate opportunities are available in Tiptree supporting one-on-one with Secondary Students, supporting GCSE English and Mathematics and more opportunities with KS3 and KS4 students at varying levels are coming through weekly either 5 half days (all mornings or all afternoons) or full time.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalised tutoring sessions to students of varying ages and abilities.
- Inspire and motivate students to overcome challenges and achieve academic objectives.
- Establish strong connections with students and their families through clear communication and genuine care.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the unique learning styles and needs of each student.
- Utilise educational technology and resources to enhance the learning experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching, especially with diverse age groups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for student success.
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to individual student needs.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (support can be provided to apply).
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Ideally a car driver.
