Operations Manager / General Manager / Engineering Manager required for a fresh distributor of fluid power and rotating equipment.

The Operations Manager / General Manager / Engineering Manager will be responsible for the direction the company takes and oversee all aspects of customer service, production, maintenance, quality and health & safety. You will be responsible for ensuring that all internal operations are hit and forecasted correctly to aid the company’s growth further.

The Operations Manager / General Manager / Engineering Manager will have experience as an Operations Manager / General Manager within a manufacturing environment. You will live within a commutable distance to Austin or be willing to relocate.

Package: Up to $125,000 - $150,000 + Bonus PTO 401K

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the direction of the company and overseeing all aspects of customer service, production, maintenance, quality and health & safety.
  • Ensure that all production processes run smoothly to achieve company targets for quantity, cost and quality.
  • Help with growth strategies of onboarding, opening new parts of the business and developing strategies to aid with current plans.
  • Implement new strategies to improve manufacturing processes within cost effective ways.
  • Implementing quality control measures and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Coordinating between different departments (design, production, quality, and procurement) to streamline workflows.
  • Set and monitor department goals.
  • Managing customer expectations and resolving operational challenges.
  • Ensure the working environment is safe for staff and visitors.
  • Develop new business opportunities and support the growth of the company.
  • On-site role based in Austin.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as an Operations Manager / General Manager within a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in electronics will be advantageous although not required.
  • Helping support with international operations and sales.
  • Developing long term and short-term goals.
  • Adapting to company culture.
  • Having a clear vision for growth and ideally experience in an engineering environment handling operations, growing departments and managing a variety of different people, both technical and non-technical.
