Our client is looking for a QA Lead to take ownership of testing and release processes in a fast-paced, high-performance software environment. This role is both hands-on and strategic, focusing on manual testing, automation, and long-term QA scalability. You’ll lead release testing, establish Squish automation for a Qt-based application, and drive QA independence from the development team. Over time, you’ll build and scale a dedicated QA function, ensuring seamless software quality across departments.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manual testing of new features, bug fixes, and enhancements.
  • Defining and executing automation strategies, starting with Squish for Qt applications.
  • Owning the release testing process, ensuring high-quality software every six months.
  • Improving and maintaining test documentation for accuracy and coverage.
  • Collaborating with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to optimize testing workflows.
  • Scaling the QA function, ensuring future independence from the software team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience testing high-performance or distributed systems on Windows & Linux.
  • Experience with Squish or similar automation tools.
  • Experience working within a simulation, automotive, robotic or similar industry.
  • Strong background in test automation and defining automation roadmaps.
  • CI/CD experience, particularly with GitHub and Jenkins.
  • Proven leadership experience, scaling a QA team and improving testing processes.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with IPG CarMaker, MATLAB/Simulink, or real-time systems.
  • Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for building scalable testing solutions.
