Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Mobile Hoist Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, dismantling, and maintenance of our hire fleet of Geda manufactured rack and pinion construction hoists. This is a mobile role, covering various customer sites across Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, dismantle, and maintain Geda manufactured rack and pinion construction hoists at customer sites.
- Perform site surveys, assess customer requirements, and propose solutions for hoist installation, dismantling, or maintenance.
- Check and tag all equipment, ensuring service records are kept up to date.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of hoist products and accessories.
- Complete test certificates and associated documentation in a timely manner.
- Follow customer-specific Health & Safety protocols when on-site.
- Keep the workshop, vehicle (if provided), and equipment organised, clean, and tidy.
- Assist with general workshop duties as needed.
- Perform any additional tasks as required by the General Manager or Regional Operations Manager.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Hoist Engineer with relevant mechanical qualifications or equivalent work experience.
- NVQ Level 2 in Hoist Operations (or working towards NVQ Level 3) is desirable.
- Manufacturer-specific product training on hoists is preferred.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with site contractors.
- A valid driving licence is essential.
- A valid CSCS card is desirable.
- ISOH - Managing Safely certification is desirable.
