Our Team
The Product Governance & Enterprise Reporting team forms part of Business Controls and exists to enable safe and sustainable growth. As our first line of defence across products and services, we are committed to driving risk excellence and are passionate about ensuring good outcomes for our customers through strong product governance. We are starting an exciting journey to grow our team who work closely with Virgin Money commercial business teams on their design, in-life changes, monitoring, risk and fair value assessment across our products and services.
What you’ll be doing
- Embedding efficient and evidence-based product management practices, allowing us to demonstrate adherence to the Conduct Risk Framework, Product Development & Product Monitoring Policy and Product and Consumer Duty control standards.
- As a first Line risk professional, undertake efficient, evidence-based quality assurance over VM’s Product and Fair Value Assessments (FVA’s) to help us evidence the right outcomes for our customers.
- Support regular product monitoring routines to identify potential harms to our customers and driving issue resolution.
- Support the evolution of VM’s product governance frameworks, with management of controls for all new products, or changes to products across VM’s three lines of defence.
- Own the VM product inventory, product governance SharePoint sites and framework guidance procedures.
- Support business units with all aspects of Consumer Duty requirements.
- Delivery of timely, accurate and succinct risk reporting outputs through executive governance.
- Engaging with key stakeholders professionally and with integrity to generate productive working relationships at all levels of seniority.
We need you to have
- A passion for the customer and great customer outcomes.
- Consumer Duty and/or Product Governance Frameworks experience.
- Practical experience of working within a risk and control environment and a strong understanding of Risk Management Frameworks, with particular emphasis on Conduct Risk.
- A focus on detail along with the ability to present your findings to a senior audience in a clear and concise manner.
- The ability to build effective relationships and the confidence to adapt these skills to communicate with a variety of peers and senior stakeholders across the Group.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
- In-depth regulatory and business practices knowledge relating to at least one Commercial Product.
- Experience in establishing an assurance framework.
- University Degree or equivalent Financial Services industry experience.
