Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

In this hands-on role, you’ll:

  • Perform reactive and planned maintenance tasks on plant, CNC machinery, and furnaces, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in electrical control systems, PLCs, CNC drive systems, and temperature controllers.

  • Work with mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic components, to maintain production equipment.

  • Collaborate with suppliers, external contractors, and internal teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.

  • Support the TPM scheme and execute Planned Preventative Maintenance to enhance production efficiency.

  • Document maintenance activities using CMMS software and assist with spare parts management.

  • Participate in plant installations, continuous improvement projects, and training for apprentices or understudies.

  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a safe workplace.

  • Experienced: Ideally apprentice-trained with a qualification such as HNC or BTEC in electrical/electronic engineering.

  • Skilled in Maintenance: Practical experience working with CNC machinery, electrical control systems, and mechanical components.

  • Qualified: IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge is desirable.

  • Organised and Proactive: Strong planning and problem-solving abilities with a can-do attitude.

  • Team-Oriented: Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with a team.
