FIND are a specialist staffing business servicing the Further Education & Apprenticeship markets across the UK. We are delighted to be representing an inspirational and well-respected Cambridge based centre of learning to hire a Travel & Tourism Lecturer.

This exciting role will involve the delivery of the Travel and Tourism courses to a wide range of learners from Levels 1-5. Main Purpose

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Providing tutorial support and guidance to learners.
  • Contributing to marketing, recruitment, course development, and student progression.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality teaching and learning.
  • Deliver inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes and levels.
  • Provide teaching and assessment opportunities in line with the relevant awarding body requirements to promote access to achievement.
  • Provide and maintain teaching materials including handouts, assignments, booklists, assessment papers, online resources and upkeep of the VLE.
  • Prepare electronic Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment.
  • Undertake the necessary administrative tasks required for the effective operation of programmes in the faculty including up to date use of vital and EBS.
  • Carry out moderation/assessment and verification in line with college and awarding body standards.
  • Work with colleagues to integrate English and Maths into the vocational curriculum.
  • Undertake tutorial responsibilities.
  • Act as a course tutor and personal tutor with responsibility for supporting learners in achieving their targets.
  • Track and review student progress and maintain student records using ProMonitor and other internal systems.
  • Provide feedback on progress to the student, parents/guardians and employers.
  • Arrange and support the work experience programme/employer engagement.
  • Assist in the recruitment and admission of new students which may include evening, Saturday and summer periods.
  • Attend promotional events to publicise College activities.
  • Contribute to the compilation of publicity materials.

  • Have current industry knowledge in the business and travel sector.
  • Be eager to contribute to all aspects of the department, from marketing and recruitment to course delivery and student progression.
  • Hold a degree-level qualification or equivalent professional qualifications/Industry experience.
  • Possess a full teaching qualification and demonstrate relevant teaching experience.
