They are looking to recruit for a Commercial Gas Engineer who will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of gas appliances and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in using various tools and equipment in various working sectors. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality, ensuring that all work complies with relevant regulations and standards.
Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair all types of gas heating and plumbing systems in commercial settings.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the safe operation of gas systems.
- Diagnose faults in gas appliances and carry out necessary repairs.
- Assemble components as needed for various projects.
- Complete all work-related documentation accurately on time and exceed customers’ expectations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete installations efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Always adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Work away during Mon-Thursday at times.
Candidate:
- Relevant qualifications e.g. COCN1, MET1, CCN1, CEN1, CKR1, HTR1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CODNCO1, CORT1, UVHW.
- Hold either OFTEC or LPG qualification (Having both would be advantageous).
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and fault find issues effectively.
- Good general experience in working in occupied premises.
- Clear communicator both oral and written.
- A customer focused approach.
