Funeral Operative

We are currently seeking a compassionate and professional Funeral Operative to join our client based in North London. The candidate will be responsible for preparing the deceased for burial or cremation, including placing them in coffins and preparing them for viewings. Maintaining, washing, cleaning, polishing, and driving vehicles. Receiving cremated remains and transfer into the appropriate casket or urn.

Funeral Operative Duties:

• Collecting and transporting the deceased and related items

• Prepare the deceased for viewing, ensuring they are presented respectfully

• Ensure all legal requirements are met for burials or cremations as per directions from the director

• Maintaining, washing, cleaning, polishing, and driving vehicles

Some previous experience of working in similar settings or environments

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail

Empathy and compassion when dealing with grieving families
