Your position is to help manage and assist the HR Manager in managing the policies of the company and managing the induction of new staff. This role is office based and requires a Freight Forwarding background.
Location: Heathrow Area
Salary: £30-33k Mon-Fri
- Manage the new starter process and onboarding of new employees
- Generate new joiner paperwork including offer letters and contracts in a timely and accurate manner
- Obtain written references for new starters
- Apply for all CRC checks for new employees and out of date CRC checks for existing employees
- Update and maintain the employee database and personnel files
- Oversee the training matrix for all staff and make sure that relevant training is completed before expiry dates
- Print out all new ID badges for new starters and expired passes
- Update accident report log
- Write disciplinary letters on behalf of the Directors
- Provide administration support to the Directors where necessary
- Supporting with the administration of the annual appraisal process
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to be flexible in their work
- Strong organisation skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office confidently
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations
- Attention to detail
Required Attitude and Personality:
- Must be reliable
- Concise and careful worker adhering to CAA regulations
- Courteous to others
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and responsibilities
- Good timekeeping
Experience, Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Some HR/Administration experience
- The role requires a clean CRC check (which will be carried out before employment)
- Ideally the candidate will have had previous training in Cargo Operative (non-screening) – this training is also mandatory and will be completed before employment if the candidate does not already have this training
