We are looking for a Learning, Development & Culture Business Partner to lead, manage and motivate the Learning, Development and Quality teams to ensure the achievement of objectives and growth aspirations. As part of the People & Organizational Development (OD) Department, the Learning, Development and Culture Business Partner will be part of the senior team who implement and drive forward the People Strategy, with a particular focus on Induction and Talent Development, providing strategic and operational guidance on L&D and Quality, from day-to-day matters to transformative solutions and initiatives. Key tasks will include:

  • Delivering high quality learning and development activities with a supportive and inclusive approach.
  • Developing a forward-looking Leadership & Management Development programme for colleagues across the business, that provides Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities and structured Career Pathways, and which enables effective workforce succession planning.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders nationally and globally (currently UK, US, EU) to achieve excellence, and to instill appropriate good practice as well as consistency of process and procedure.
  • Conducting regular Training Needs Analyses (TNAs) across the business, reporting findings and recommending bespoke solutions.
  • Effectively leading, managing and motivating the Learning & Development, Quality and Academy teams, providing support, guidance and development.
  • Conducting team and individual meetings, one to ones, appraisals/check ins and career reviews.
  • Communicating and collaborating effectively with colleagues across the business and with external L&D partners, clients, agencies and suppliers.
  • Measuring and evaluating the business impact of all L&D interventions and producing informative and concise monthly and annual sub-department/team reports to Senior Leadership.
  • Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Business Partner and the People Business Partner, to ensure a cohesive, seamless People & OD service, under the guidance of the Head of People & OD.
  • Prospecting and delivering new and bespoke L&D solutions, cost effectively and to budget.

  • Salary circa £45,000 per annum plus annual bonus
  • Hybrid role offering a combination of office and home working (2 days per week at home)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant field (HR, L&D, PgCE, DTTLs, etc)
  • Proven experience of successfully managing and motivating L&D teams in a fast-paced customer-centric environment
  • Experience of designing and implementing a broad portfolio of modern, effective and bespoke training courses and blended learning activities, focused on technical, professional and soft skills
  • Knowledge and awareness of current thinking around learning, development and pedagogical approaches
  • Demonstrable People Leadership & Management skills and ability
  • A confident relationship builder and communicator with ability to adapt style to suit audience
  • Strong work ethic, results driven and highly self-motivated
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills with a close attention to detail

The role of Learning, Development & Culture Business Partner is based in our central Manchester office, with the option to work 2 days (Mondays and Fridays) per week at home.
