We currently have a vacancy for an HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor working on Night shift at our Spalding depot.

Who are we looking for as an HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor:

  • Previous Workshop Supervisor experience working as a Technician / Mechanic within the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car or an associated sector.
  • Ideally have served a recognised apprenticeship or training programme.
  • Qualified to Level 3 (C&G, NVQ or equivalent) in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Excellent technical knowledge ensuring maintenance and repairs are carried out to manufacturers procedures.
  • Sound knowledge to accurately diagnose faults.
  • Carry safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOTs.
  • Skills to follow company processes for completing all paperwork including accurate completion of job cards and service records.
  • General level of computer literacy.
  • Full UK driving licence.

The HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Managing a team of HGV Technicians.
  • Ensure workshop activities are compliant with Health and Safety legislation.
  • Allocate work to the Workshop and complete job cards.
  • Servicing and maintaining a wide variety of Trucks and Vehicles.
  • Fault Diagnostics.
  • MOT Preparation.
  • Mechanical and Electrical repairs.
  • Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturers procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Road test vehicle when required, subject to licence restrictions.
  • Attend any technical or development training that is made available.

Night shift working hours: 8pm - 6am, Monday - Friday. OR 7:30pm - 6am alternate weeks, Monday - Thursday / Tuesday - Friday.
