Our clients are a leading specialty ingredients supplier with a rich history in the UK pharma, nutraceutical and sports nutrition market. Due to internal promotion we are now seeking a dynamic and industry experienced professional to manage a portfolio of accounts spanning the UK, whilst hunting and developing new business opportunities through value added sales.
The ideal candidate is a driven, well-organized individual who has experience within the sales and promotion of specialty chemicals and/or ingredients into the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and/or sports nutrition markets in the UK.
Responsibilities:- Responsibility for the sales and business development of API’s, intermediates, excipients and High Purity Solvents into the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and/or sports nutrition markets.
- Develop, grow and manage accounts within the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and/or sports nutrition materials markets.
- Identify and acquire new customers by identifying and showcasing the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and/or sports nutrition portfolios.
- Implementation and delivery of the market strategy, in line with annual budget and product forecasts.
- Market and competition monitoring, identification of new business opportunities.
- Deepening the knowledge of specialty chemicals and ingredients based in the portfolio.
- Regular customer visits and calls, both directly and together with other sales colleagues.
- Report maintenance and documentation in the CRM system (Salesforce).
- Represent the company at tradeshows and exhibitions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in chemistry, pharmaceutical science or related subject or Economics/business.
- 3+ years' of sales experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience within the sales of API’s, excipients, intermediates with applications within the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and/or sports nutrition markets in the UK.
