We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor (Electric) in Bolton.

Salary: Grade 5 - £37,400 - £41,600

Basis: Full Time

Contracted Hours: 36 Hours

Package: Permanent

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday

Why is the role important?

The role of Supervisor plays an important role in providing a quality housing repairs service. It ensures effective work planning and allocation of jobs for our teams of operatives delivering housing repairs as well as quality checking and resolving of issues.

Key Outcomes

  • Play an integral part in ensuring the smooth running of operations which deliver essential housing repairs.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a high quality and efficient repairs and maintenance service to our customers in accordance with contract and service standards to meet productivity and quality targets.
  • Assist with continual service improvements to the team, including developing effective policies, procedures and systems.

What's involved?

  • Manage and lead a team of operatives and resources in accordance with operational requirements, service delivery and financial targets.
  • Ensure effective work planning and allocation of jobs to optimise work performance including quality checks and people management.
  • Liaise with customers regarding site arrangements and to deal with any escalations or complaints.
  • Liaise with clients in relation to site meetings, targets, priorities and standards for the Repairs & Maintenance service.
  • Undertake risk assessments and method studies, maintaining accurate records to ensure the health and safety of staff and customers.
  • Maintain and supply accurate management information relating to the operational and financial performance of the team.
  • Work with sub-contractors and other agencies.
  • Compile content and deliver toolbox talks.
  • Manage matters relating to sickness absence and wellbeing of staff.
  • Ensure Equality, diversity & Inclusion is at the forefront of all decisions, inclusive language is used consistently and we celebrate differences.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety issues identified are reported and appropriate learning where required is shared.

Qualifications and Other Documents

For this role you will need to have a City & Guilds 2382-18 or equivalent (18th edition) and an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent. You will require a full and clean driver's licence for this position.
