SEMH Teaching Assistant

£425-£475 per week depending on experience

About the role:
Connex Education are working with a bespoke SEND School in Sefton who specialise in offering positive behavioural support. They are looking for a TA to join their team supporting pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH as their primary diagnosis.
About the School:
The School offers an alternative Education to pupils from Reception to year 11 with a range of needs including Autism, Global development delay, ADHD, SEMH and SLD. All pupils have an EHCP. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant at this School, you will provide personalised support, focusing on coping strategies and helping to improve pupils quality of life.
Assignment details:
This is a full-time role and will commence asap. This will consist of working Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm. There is chance of a direct contract for the right candidate. This is ideal for a TA who has experience of supporting SEMH pupils and who want to make a difference in a positive learning environment.

Person specification:
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEMH.
- Be understanding and empathetic with the ability to help pupils self -regulate.
- Promoting life skills and empowering pupils by building confidence.
- Be engaging and using a person-centered approach.
- Be willing to work as a team and collaborate with families to implement behaviour management strategies.
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
