Our Client Works with the leading power, water, telecoms, and rail organisations in the UK, and they are looking to expand their team., Certify Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to be based in Taunton or Bishop Sutton. The role will be managing and overseeing the quantity surveying team and ensuring all financial and contractual aspects of projects are controlled and managed effectively. Duties and Responsibilities: * Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors, providing mentorship and guidance. * Allocate resources efficiently to ensure project deliverables are met. * Prepare and oversee cost plans and estimates for projects. * Monitor project budgets and manage cost control throughout the project lifecycle. * Provide accurate financial reports and forecasts to senior management. * Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. * Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements during the procurement process. * Manage contract documentation and variations. * Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. * Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. * Build and maintain strong working relationships to ensure successful project delivery. * Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures for cost and contract management. Skills and Experience: * A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. * Extensive experience in quantity surveying within the construction or infrastructure sectors. * Proven track record in a senior quantity surveying role * Experience in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion. * Full UK driving license. * Strong leadership and team management skills. * Excellent financial skills. * Willingness to travel to various project sites as required. Salary + Package: Negotiable Salary – dependent on experience
