We are seeking an ambitious and highly driven National Key Accounts Manager to join my clients commercial team. This key role is responsible for managing and developing relationships with influencers, endorsers, decision-makers, and specifications across the commercial sector, particularly within existing main contractors and potential new Tier 1 contractors. The ideal candidate will be energetic, persistent, and committed to delivering an outstanding customer experience while contributing to the future growth of my client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Securing Project Specifications & Sales: Focus on building strong commercial relationships and ensuring all Commercial products are specified in key projects across sectors such as healthcare, MOD, sports & leisure, and retail.
- CRM & Database Management: Maintain accurate CRM records and track project progress throughout the supply chain.
- Effective Closing Techniques: Influence the entire buying center (architects, specifiers, contractors, QS, cost consultants, and subcontractors) to secure specifications and drive sales.
- Product Awareness & Presentations: Deliver company presentations and CPDs to raise awareness of the full product portfolio.
- Building Relationships: Foster strong relationships with Tier 1 main contractors, larger regional contractors, and key stakeholders in the industry.
- Industry Engagement: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with relevant trade, industry, and regulatory bodies.
- Pipeline Development: Focus on building a robust sales pipeline, maintaining records, and improving win rates.
- Site Visits & Surveys: Conduct site visits and surveys, including working at heights, where necessary.
- Market Relevance & Positioning: Maintain Commercial relevance in the market and position our products as the preferred choice for both market share and opinion.
- Team Collaboration: Work independently and collaboratively with colleagues to achieve company objectives, targets, and goals.
- Market Monitoring & Sales Lead Sharing: Keep an eye on market potential and share sales leads with the relevant teams.
- Additional Tasks: Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the role.
