Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled contractor, ideally with multiple CCIE certifications, to take a lead role in the design, deployment, and ongoing support of end-to-end cellular network solutions for our NHIB JOTS (Joint Operational Test and Support) deployments. This is a pivotal role where you will apply your advanced expertise in cellular networking to create robust and efficient solutions for both indoor and outdoor environments. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge technologies, including small cells, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), and various other advanced radio technologies, while addressing complex network challenges and ensuring high-quality connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture & Design: Lead the creation of high-level network architectures that encompass IP connectivity, network synchronization, robust security protocols, and zero-touch provisioning for diverse cellular network solutions. Design solutions for both indoor and outdoor small cells, DAS, and similar radio technologies, with a focus on scalability, performance, and future-proofing.
- Implementation: Take hands-on responsibility for lab and pilot deployments, ensuring the successful implementation of cellular network solutions. Configure secure network tunnels, ensuring optimal security standards are met, and manage security credentials throughout the life cycle of the deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions seamlessly into the existing infrastructure.
- Documentation & Support: Produce comprehensive design documentation, detailing the architecture, implementation steps, and security measures. Provide hands-on support for deployment, addressing any operational challenges and troubleshooting complex networking issues to ensure optimal performance. Act as the point of contact for post-deployment support, offering expert guidance on operational and technical issues.
Qualifications:
- Multiple CCIE Certifications: A minimum of two or more CCIE certifications, with preferred areas including Enterprise Infrastructure, Wireless, Service Provider, Data Centre, and Security.
- Extensive Experience: A proven track record of at least 10 years in designing, implementing, and optimizing cellular network solutions, including experience with both indoor and outdoor small cells, DAS, and other advanced radio technologies.
- Expertise in Network Security and Automation: Deep knowledge of network security protocols, including Fortinet SecGW, and experience with automation tools to streamline deployment and management processes.
- Vendor Coordination: Proven ability to manage and coordinate with various vendors, ensuring smooth integration and deployment of third-party solutions.
- Specialized Experience: In-depth experience working with PKI configurations in telecom environments, with a preference for those familiar with Ericsson RAN (Radio Access Network) systems.
