The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
This role involves managing and coordinating all aspects of the development process related to architectural, engineering activities, and technical solutions/efficiencies. It encompasses land purchase (following offer acceptance by the Land Department), planning, pre-start preparations, and build development up until handover to build management. The role requires close collaboration with all functional teams to address technical and design issues arising on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Take ownership of project pre-development upon confirmation from the Land Department, including handover meetings with Engineers.
- Planning & Technical Management: Oversee technical elements of the planning process, ensuring efficient progression and risk management.
- Commercial Focus: Demonstrate strong commercial awareness by value-engineering designs in collaboration with Engineers and the wider team to maximize profitability.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks, maintaining an updated risk register and ensuring consultants adhere to CDM procedures and risk assessments.
- Health & Safety & Design Coordination: Prepare the Pretender Health and Safety Plan and coordinate Temporary Works design.
- Consultant & Stakeholder Management: Appoint, brief, challenge, assist, and manage external consultants and agencies to deliver cost-effective design solutions.
- Technical Support & Liaison: Ensure technical support information is accurately prepared by liaising with consultants, suppliers, and manufacturers.
- Utilities Management: Procure, manage, and coordinate utilities, including new supplies and diversions.
- Reporting & Analysis: Deliver key information, reports, assessments, and recommendations to ensure efficient technical solutions and optimize land purchase, planning, pre-start preparations, and build activity.
- Consultant Management: Actively manage external consultants to ensure all technical information is received, coordinated, checked for accuracy and efficiency, and distributed on time and within budget.
- Design Communication: Coordinate the communication and distribution of design drawings and specifications across the business.
- Project Monitoring & Reporting: Implement ‘stop gate’ milestones, control programs, and maintain tracking documents to monitor progress and provide status reports to the Technical Director and Senior Management Team.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all drawings and details comply with Local Authority and NHBC requirements.
- Meeting Leadership: Lead and chair monthly Project Team Meetings up until the groundworks tender pack stage before handing over to the Commercial Department.
- Budget Management: Oversee technical fee budgets.
