An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineer - Electrical Test PCBA to join a dynamic and innovative team. This role focuses on testing and validating Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) to ensure the highest quality and reliability of cutting-edge technology. You will be responsible for component testing, system analysis, and fault-finding, playing a key role in delivering next-generation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute PCBA test and validation activities on products and test rigs.
- Develop and implement DV & PV test plans for component and system validation.
- Support external test houses in conducting validation tests.
- Assist in requirements documentation, hazard analysis, and risk management.
- Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting on electronic components and systems.
- Prepare and present technical reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the company in technical and project reviews with customers.
- Ensure compliance with industry and legislative standards.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in electrical integration within the automotive or motorsport industry.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of PCBA testing and validation methods.
- Familiarity with LV124 & ISO16750 electrical and environmental test standards.
- Hands-on experience with Vector tools, including CANalyzer.
- Ability to work flexibly under strict deadlines.
- Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally when required.
Preferred Experience (Desirable):
- Experience with electric vehicles (HV charging, HV batteries, and HV powertrains).
- Hands-on knowledge of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test rigs (National Instruments or Vector-based).
- Experience with requirements capture tools (Siemens Polarion, IBM Rational Doors).
- Understanding of Functional Safety and ISO26262.
