Salary: £37,500 - £42,000
Work within the maintenance department of a small brush manufacturing company located in Throckley, NE15. Provide in-house maintenance across the production equipment. Ensure production equipment and tooling are maintained and repaired to a high standard. Produce emergency parts and solutions using all available resources and develop and engineer improvements.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on injection moulding tools.
- CNC Machining & Turning of specialist replacement parts used in tooling.
- Respond to breakdowns on production machines.
- Regularly check the machinery and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflow.
- Comply with legal requirements and work within company health and safety guidelines.
- Identify and order spare parts.
- Project/prototype development machining.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Time served with experience and an excellent multi-skilled discipline.
- Ability to use toolroom machining centre and CNC lathe.
- Ability to create innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Work with the OEM machine technicians when required.
- Computer literate and familiar with CAD/CAM systems.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Highly responsible and conscientious.
- Good communicator.
- Reliable and flexible with a strong work ethic.
- Able to effectively prioritise and adapt to variable workloads.
- Punctual, with good attendance.
