A premium fashion brand based in Manchester City Centre are looking for a Senior Womenswear Designer to join their growing design team.

The Brand

They are a small but growing brand based in Manchester and they are looking for a Senior Womenswear Designer to join their team. Their customers age vary from 18 to 35 years old and they are known for their quality and trend led pieces.

The Role

  • Lead the brand’s vision and direction, effectively conveying it through your designs.
  • Continuously challenge creative boundaries with fresh, innovative ideas and designs.
  • Keep up with industry trends and actively conduct market research.
  • Compile and present seasonal trend reports.
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director from concept to completion, ensuring alignment on seasonal direction, timelines, and customer insights.
  • Contribute to cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and creativity.
  • Source, select, and develop fabrics, trims, and other materials.
  • Communicate regularly with external suppliers, visit as needed, and provide them with all necessary design details for sample production.
  • Stay informed on market trends influencing consumer behaviour and integrate the brand’s best-selling products into the design process.

About You

  • Experience in a fashion design-focused role.
  • A strong passion and enthusiasm for fashion.
  • Highly creative with a deep understanding of customer needs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Confidence is key—someone with bold ideas who isn’t afraid to share them.
  • Proficiency in creating tech packs and CADs in Adobe Illustrator, including measurements and technical details for sampling and production.
  • Ability to create specifications and knowledge of grading is preferred but not essential.
  • Support fit sessions and provide detailed feedback through fit comments.
  • Experience in developing original prints is preferred but not required.
  • Skilled in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
