Job Title: Senior Engineer – Metrology (Electrical Calibration) We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role. Salary: £40,000+ depending on skills and experience Perform high end calibrations & repairs on a wide variety of electrical test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) Deliver specific, target driven on the job training/experiential learning to ICS Electrical team members and apprentices/graduates Deputise for ICS Electrical team leader whenever required – Including people/resource management, workflow management and workload signoff Take part in a range of Quality audits (including UKAS/ISO 17025), achieving UKAS signatory status Experience working in a precision Electrical Calibration/metrology laboratory environment Understanding of quality systems & standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001) Relevant academic qualification (STEM Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent) Existing UKAS signatory status for Electrical Calibration Experience in use of automation software (Fluke Metcal, Met/Track, Met/Teams, Labview) Experience in Mechanical, Dimensional, Temperature and other engineering calibrations You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. The (ICS Electrical) team: The Calibration department currently supports 30,000 pieces of equipment per year, ranging from traditional analogue equipment through to state-of-the-art digital systems. ICS Electrical focuses the calibration, maintenance, and repair of TMDE capable of making AC/DC voltage, current, resistance, inductance, capacitance, and time/frequency measurements. ICS Electrical consists of around 8+ team members. ICS Electrical sits alongside various other teams within the overall Calibration department, consisting of 50+ team members. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
