Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a leading Energy Supplier to recruit for an Account Manager for a small but growing team. You will be managing a portfolio of accounts, building relationships with your customers to increase inbound referrals and tenders, expand on existing opportunities and grow new business accounts. This is a proactive, sales-based approach to the Account Manager role, the ideal candidate will be confident meeting customers face to face, networking and dealing with customers face to face. You will be working for a forward-thinking business within the Energy sector, who have a flexible, hybrid working pattern and an extensive benefits package. You must be able to travel into Birmingham City Centre 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities & day to day duties

  • Manage a portfolio of active accounts to drive revenue growth
  • Liaise with customers on the phone, virtually and face to face meetings
  • Managing the end-to-end sales process of new business opportunities and renewals, liaising closely with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Ask relevant questions using a consultative approach, understanding the end user requirements to position tenders effectively.
  • Maintain a proactive approach in managing your accounts, delivering excellent levels of customer service
  • Exceed all KPI’s, including annual revenue target and monthly KPI’s

Skills & experience required

  • Experience in an Account Manager role, within any sector.
  • Experience dealing with complex deals and tender processes.
  • Excellent process management and organisation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, great communication and ability to manage processes between different teams.
  • Flexible approach to work with a growth mindset
  • Proactive and energetic approach to work, with an ability to work well under pressure.
