Do you speak fluent German to a business level? Are you passionate about delivering an excellent service? Do you pick up new systems and processes quickly? As a German Speaking Logistics Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in supporting the operations team and the wider business, to deliver its service to their key customers.
You will be responsible for transport planning activities between warehouses and third-party sites, taking ownership of all customer service and issue management activities throughout local distributors in a number of European countries. This will involve effective communication across internal sites, external customers, and within the network of transport providers. This role is critical to the success of this operation.
Your duties as a German Speaking Logistics Coordinator will include but are not limited to:
- Continuous pro-active planning and monitoring of orders as per customer request.
- Proactively liaising with carriers to resolve any in-transit issues.
- Reporting issues to the business effectively and resolving accordingly.
- Booking in collections/deliveries and managing special delivery arrangements and returns.
- Transport planning activities for warehouse movements.
- Managing of special delivery arrangements and returns.
- Daily customer query investigation, resolution and complaint management, liaising with carriers and customers in line with compliance procedures.
To be a successful German Speaking Logistics Coordinator you must have:
- Fluency in German and English, both written and oral.
- A confident communicator with the ability to build rapport.
- Organisational skills including the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- IT skills – MS office and excel in particular.
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Transport management systems awareness would be beneficial.
- Good knowledge of European geography.
