GENERAL MANAGER, 4 STAR HOTEL, NEWCASTLE, UP TO £48,000

STUNNING REFURBISHED HOTEL, BONUS SCHEME

Our clients operate this stunning refurbished 4-star hotel based in Newcastle, providing rosette standard dining in their casual fine dining gastro pub & various unique catering outlets attached to the hotel.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious General Manager to come on board and head up this exciting flagship project. This position comes with a large amount of autonomy and freedom to influence change in a growing business.

Responsible for the operational areas of the business, you will have a number of extremely experienced Heads of Departments to assist you.

The General Manager candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  1. Experience working in a busy 4-5 star multi-outlet hotel operation, overseeing teams of up to 40 hotel staff.
  2. Experience delivering a 1st class hospitality & service experience, in a busy, hands-on venue.
  3. 1st rate understanding of back of house systems, costings, stock, labour, and financial controls.
  4. A professional and confident demeanor is essential, as is the ability to show the company ethos & high standards every day in service & management.
  5. Understanding of the latest H&S guidelines and procedures.
  6. Experience working in a similar sized venue, and within a ‘hands-on’ management structure.
  7. Have a friendly yet professional persona.
  8. Be a strong leader, being able to enthuse those around you.
  9. Lead by example to ensure your high standards filter through the front & back of house teams.
  10. Control staff management and training along with ordering and stock control.
  11. Have the ability to self-manage and adapt to changing situations.
