We are seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist on behalf of our client to join their London-based EMEA regulatory team. This role focuses on label development and compliance management for a variety of projects, including innovation, market and manufacturing extensions, technical changes, and promotions. The position is heavily focused on label compliance and development, as well as managing raw material and finished goods registration across the Customs Union, Middle East, and North Africa, ensuring high quality and timely execution.
The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will work closely with the US regulatory team to ensure corporate labelling and compliance guidelines are met. The role also involves collaborating with local marketing teams to facilitate translations of marketing and romance copy, liaising with bottlers and third parties to clarify regulatory matters, and supporting the innovation adaptation process. Additionally, this role includes assisting with non-project-related queries regarding technical product information, such as allergen status, vegan/vegetarian classification, and added sugar content.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and review labels for compliance, primarily for flavour extensions within the EU and label change management projects.
- Coordinate the development of product graphics and labelling with internal marketing and graphics teams.
- Manage third-party labelling approvals required for EU projects.
- Facilitate translation of legal and marketing copy in collaboration with local marketing teams.
- Conduct peer reviews and proofread labels for accuracy.
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes and assess their impact on food and dietary supplement products.
- Maintain and update internal regulatory databases for new products, ensuring accurate labelling records.
- Support additional business needs as they evolve.
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related discipline.
- 3–5+ years of domestic or international regulatory or quality assurance experience.
- Experience in international product or raw material registration within the beverage, food, or dietary supplements industry.
- Language skills and international experience are a plus.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Results-driven, creative, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to ask the right questions.
- Proactive in improving processes and ways of working.
