We’re recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to support the Southern Renewals Enterprise Framework, which anticipates a major increase in spend over the next 10 years upgrading critical rail infrastructure across the South Coast and South London. The role offers flexibility to work from home 2 days a week with another 2 days in the office and 1 day on site visiting your different projects.
Due to the nature of the rail contracts, it is essential you have experience of working with NEC contracts and building relationships with your client’s representatives. The value of these projects will vary from minor works schemes up to one-off £50m projects running for several years.
Key Quantity Surveyor duties:
- Working with the project team to record costs, change and variation
- Minimise cost and risk of the project and enhance value for money
- Manage costs and budget in line with the NEC contract
- Raise early warning notices, compensation events
