We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and self-motivated scientist to join our Antibody Protein Sciences group within our Large Molecule Discovery (LMD) team. This department is dedicated to the discovery of novel and effective biopharmaceutical medicines, progressing a portfolio of biopharmaceuticals from early antibody discovery through to molecular engineering and biologic profiling. As part of our growth and commitment to innovation, we have recently invested in cutting-edge automation to enhance our capacity and are now deploying these advanced systems across our drug discovery pipeline.
This is an excellent opportunity for an inquisitive scientist with expertise in molecular biology who is eager to contribute to the creation of the medicines of the future. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work with novel automation solutions, which would be an advantage.
Role Responsibilities:- Generate panels of transfection-grade plasmid DNA to support pipeline and technology development.
- Contribute to the development of novel molecular biology processes, taking responsibility for delivering specific work packages.
- Design, execute, and document high-quality scientific experiments within agreed timelines.
- Influence scientific direction and execution of projects and discovery platforms within the group.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the success of the projects.
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions for high throughput process workflows.
- A PhD/Relevant Degree or equivalent experience in molecular biology, cell biology, or a related discipline.
- Experience in vectorology, plasmid DNA purification and quality control (QC), and other molecular biology techniques.
- Experience with Plasmid propagation.
- Strong attention to detail in experimental setup, data reporting, and verbal presentations.
- Proven ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- While not essential, the following skills would be advantageous: Ability to perform complex data management and interpretation tasks.
- Experience in troubleshooting and critiquing high throughput process workflows.
